Hyundai recently unveiled the Creta for the Indian market and is now preparing to launch the car on July 21. Some units of the car from the initial lot have already started arriving at the dealerships.
The Creta is sold as the ix25 in China as it was originally developed for the Chinese market. Now the Creta will be produced in India and will soon go on sale through Hyundai dealerships in our country. It is the smaller sibling of the Santa Fe and borrows traits from its elder sibling. It carries over the same design language and measures 4,270mm in length, 1,780mm in width and 1,630mm in height. The crossover will come equipped with projector headlamps, DRLs, roof rails, alloy wheels and OVRMs integrated with side indicators. Features in the cabin will be in line with the equipment list of most Hyundai cars.
The Creta, for the Indian market, is expected to be powered by the same engine-options from the Hyundai Verna. The Korean manufacturer might add the 1.6-litre engine option with manual and automatic transmission options depending on the different variants.
We expect a competitive pricing for the product which will be availablle on July 21. The compact crossover will compete with the Ford EcoSport, Renault Duster and even the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Cross.
