- Will be offered in petrol and diesel versions
- Could be introduced in the coming weeks
With the arrival of a few coupe SUVs rivalling the traditional mid-size SUV segment, Hyundai is believed to be working on an update for the Creta. Official documents reveal that a special edition of the Korean brand's bestselling model in India has been homologated and could be launched soon.
According to the documents, the Creta SE, or Special Edition, as it could be called, will be offered in two variants: S (O) and SX(O). Although the finer details are unknown at the moment, this special edition version could get minor tweaks to the exterior and interior.
Under the hood, the new Creta SE will offer a 1.5-litre, NA petrol engine and a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine. Transmission options will include a six-speed manual, IVT, and six-speed torque converter automatic units. The introduction of this offering is also expected to boost Creta's sales during the ongoing festive season.
