After having a brilliant sales start for its compact SUV, the Creta, Hyundai India has hiked the prices of the vehicle.
The Creta has been performing really well for the Korean manufacturer from the time it was launched in India. With sales of almost 7,000 units a month, the Creta has still a waiting period that runs upto six months depending on the variants.
The price of the Creta has gone up by Rs 10,000 for most of the 1.4-litre diesel variants, whereas the 1.6-litre diesel variant gets a price rise of Rs 20,000 across its range except one variant. In order to meet the demand, Hyundai has increased the production capacity to 7,500 units a month, and is now running on full capacity.
