- Hyundai Creta facelift spotted undisguised
- Gets cosmetic upgrades and an updated infotainment system
- Likely to debut in India in this quarter
Hyundai has been testing the facelift version of its popular selling SUV, the Creta, for quite some time now. This time around, the facelift version has been snapped undisguised thereby suggesting its possible launch sometime soon. Changes in the new model are limited to cosmetic upgrades, while mechanically it will continue to be powered by existing engine options.
Based on what can be seen, the new Creta gets a new hexagonal grille with a chrome frame. The vehicle also gets a fresh set of sweptback headlamps featuring projector lamps and LED DRLs. The SUV gets redesigned front bumpers and chrome inserts around the air dam. Fog lamps with separate housing are positioned beside the air dam. Moreover, as seen in images, the vehicle sports a dual-tone exterior combination with a black roof. Additionally, it also received body-coloured ORVMs with integrated turn signals and new dual-tone alloy wheels.
The new model is likely to get an optional sunroof this time. The interior is likely to get mild upgrades over the current generation model for freshness. It is believed that this time the company will also offer an updated touchscreen infotainment system. Under the hood, it will continue to be powered by existing options – one petrol and two diesel engine options. The petrol version gets a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine that generates 123bhp of power and 151Nm of torque. The diesel version includes 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre engine options that generate 89bhp and 126bhp respectively. Transmission options include a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic options.
The new model is likely to be launched in this quarter.
