Hyundai is gearing up for the official launch of the Creta facelift in India. The crossover was spotted testing on many occasions and now a product presentation of it was leaked online.
The Creta facelift will be available in five trims – E, E+, S, SX and SX (O). The exterior paint scheme will get seven colour options – Polar White, Sleek Silver, Phantom Black, Stardust, Fiery Red, Passion Orange and Marina Blue, of which the last two are new additions. It will also be offered in two dual-tone schemes, namely, Polar white with Phantom black and Passion orange with Phantom black. The Earth brown and Mystic blue colours offered with the current car will apparently be discontinued.
The most prominent changes will be the tweaked projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The grille will get Hyundai’s signature ‘Cascading’ style combined with dual-tone bumpers. Hyundai will offer 17-inch diamond cut alloy wheels as well. At the back, there will be new bumper design with revised tailgate, newly designed taillights and reflectors.
On the inside, things will remain more or less the same. There will be new fabric upholstery on offer, the air-con vents will get contrasting metallic finish. In the dual-tone models, the contrasting interiors will be colour coordinated. Hyundai will start offering a “Smart Key Band” as revealed by the leaked presentation. Other features will include a six-way electric driver’s seat, electric sunroof in addition to cruise control and wireless charging system. However, the newly added features will be limited to the top-spec SX (O) trim.
The updated Creta will continue to be offered with the 1.6-litre petrol, 1.4-litre diesel and the 1.6-litre diesel engines. The six-speed automatic transmission will only be offered with the 1.6-litre units whereas the six-speed manual will be standard.
Now according to the leaked presentation, the Creta will be priced between Rs. 9.47 lakhs and Rs. 15.07 lakhs (ex-showroom). That’s slightly high compared to the current car. Bookings have already commenced across the dealership and official launch is expected sometime next week.
