- Will debut at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo
- Design to be based on the latest iteration of the ICE-powered Creta
Hyundai has officially confirmed the launch timeline of the Creta EV, which is scheduled to take place on 17 January at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. This will be the third electric and the first locally produced EV from the brand in India.
To be based on the facelifted Creta in the ICE avatar that was launched earlier this year, the Creta EV will distinguish itself from the petrol and diesel siblings with the help of EV-specific cues inside out. Changes to the exterior design could include revised front and rear bumpers, blanked-out grille, and new alloy wheels with aero inserts.
Inside, the 2025 Hyundai Creta EV will receive a new three-spoke steering wheel, two 10.25-inch digital screens, dual-zone climate control, new centre console with dual cup holders, repositioned ventilated seat buttons, EPB with auto-hold function, 360-degree camera, new rotary dial, and more. Also up for offer will be an ADAS suite.
Once launched, the electrified Creta will rival the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, BYD Atto 3, and the upcoming Maruti e-Vitara. Under the hood, the latest offering from Hyundai is likely to be powered by a 60kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor. The model could return a range of 500km on a single full charge.
