- Electric version of the Creta SUV
- Price to be announced at the Expo
Introduction
Hyundai has confirmed that it will launch the electric version of the Creta in India during the Bharat Mobility Expo on 17 January, 2025. Here's all we can expect from the Creta EV that will compete with the Tata Curvv.ev, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser EV in the Indian market.
Exterior
Earlier, we've seen spy shots of the Creta EV testing showing off the same proportions as the standard Creta SUV. We expect it to feature the same design and styling elements as the ICE version with minimal changes. The latter could include a blanked-off grille, EV badging, and aero-optimised alloy wheels.
Interior
Inside the Creta EV's cabin, we expect this electric version to have the same dashboard design as the Creta and the Alcazar, albeit with a few changes. The electric SUV will get the brand's new three-spoke steering wheel and a different screen UI for the infotainment and MID among some other EV-specific changes. The feature list will include dual-zone automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, wireless smartphone charging, Level 2 ADAS, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain
The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to have a 45kWh battery pack, which will power a front-mounted electric motor. The specifications are yet to be revealed but are expected to resemble the latest-generation Kona EV.
