Hyundai has launched the much-anticipated Creta Electric at the Bharat Mobility Expo. The new EV is priced at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 17.99 lakh (ex-showroom introductory).
The Hyundai Creta Electric is offered in eight monotone and two dual-tone colour options, including three matte colours. This EV looks similar to the ICE version but has a blanked-off front grille with vertically stacked headlamps, L-shaped LED DRLs and taillights, and LED light bars at both ends. It rides on aero-optimised 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels which are shod with low-rolling resistance tyres. Besides, it gets Active Air Flaps that are said to improve aerodynamic performance.
The carmaker is offering the Creta Electric in four variants — Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence. This electric SUV features a shift-by-wire system and comes with a digital key, allowing users to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle using their smartphone or smartwatch.
Powertrain
Hyundai is offering the Creta Electric available with two battery options — 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The former offers a range of 390km, while the latter gets 473km. It is claimed that the long-range version can sprint from 0-100kmph in 7.9 seconds. Moreover, the batteries can be charged from 10-80 per cent in 58 minutes using a DC fast charger and 10-100 per cent in four hours using the 11kW wall box charger. The EV also offers Vehicle to Load (V2L) support, enabling users to power external devices.
