- The special edition Creta will get a panoramic sunroof, new paint and quilted leather seats.
- Might also be introduced in India after going on sale in the Brazilian market.
Hyundai will be showcasing a special edition of the Creta at next week’s Sao Paulo Motor Show. To be called the Creta Diamond Edition, the SUV is teased in few images revealing the panoramic sunroof, quilted leather seats and a new LED tail light signature. There might also be a new paint scheme as a part of the package. These teasers show few of the 200 expected changes in the Creta Diamond Edition.
The Creta Diamond is expected to be based on the top-spec model which in Brazil is called the Prestige trim. This is the same SX (O) variant sold in India. Apart from the panoramic sunroof, there is also a roof-mounted spoiler seen in the teaser image. The beige quilted leather with contrasting piping will make the cabin so much more opulent. The dashboard will also get a beige-black finish with the entire cabin getting ivory and caramel finishes. The door panels will also have the same scheme along with a matching steering wheel. The metallic blue body colour might also be a part of the package. The rear tail light is also seen with new LED lighting signature which somewhat looks like an aftermarket fitment.
Since the Brazilian market doesn’t get a diesel engine option, it will get the same 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines producing 130bhp and 160bhp respectively. Transmission choices are manual and automatic driving the front wheels.
At the 2018 Sao Paulo Motor Show, the special edition Creta will be joined by the Saga SUV Concept which might spawn the next electric vehicles in the developing markets. Hyundai might bring the Creta Diamond Edition to India as well given the immense demand and sales the Creta has garnered since its introduction.
