- Attributes the hike in prices to rise in input costs
Hyundai India has announced plans to hike car prices by up to Rs 30,000 from January 2019. The company attributes the hike in prices to rise in input costs. Last week, popular car manufacturers in the country namely Tata Motors, Ford and Nissan have also announced their plans to hike prices across their passenger car segment.
Hyundai sells a wide range of models in the country ranging from the Santro hatchback to the Tuscon SUV which is available from a price range of Rs 3.89 lakhs and Rs 26.84 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Increase in commodity prices and foreign exchange rates has led to the hike in prices of products from other leading manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota Kirloskar, BMW, Renault and Isuzu.
The model-wise revision in prices will be known in January.
