Hyundai Motor India announced the prices of the Alcazar facelift at its launch event yesterday. Prices start at Rs. 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol variants and Rs. 15.99 lakh for the diesel version. Here's all that you need to know about the facelifted Alcazar SUV.
Cosmetic enhancements
The Alcazar facelift continues to be the long wheelbase version of the Creta, and the cosmetic changes align with the Creta's design. In its latest iteration, the Alcazar gets a new face, which features a bold grille with H-shaped LED DRLs and quad-beam LED headlights. The SUV rides on 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and sports skid plates at both ends. The 2024 Alcazar has a redesigned tailgate, resculpted bumper, new LED taillamps, and an LED light bar.
Variants, seating, and new features
The Alcazar is offered in six- and seven-seater configurations and is available in four variants — Executive, Prestige, Platinum, and Signature. The cabin boasts dual 10.25-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and the touchscreen infotainment system. The SUV comes equipped with new features like a Bose eight-speaker sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, rain-sensing wipers, wireless smartphone charger in the first and second rows, and a panoramic sunroof.
Segment-first equipment
Besides the aforementioned, the new Hyundai Alacazar also gets new segment-first features. This includes thigh cushion extensions, wing-type headrests, and ventilated seats for second-row passengers. The SUV also gets a digital key, Level 2 ADAS with 19 safety features, six airbags, hill descent control, all-disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera.
Powertrain options
The Alcazar facelift is available with 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and diesel engines. The former churns out 158bhp and 253Nm of torque and comes mated to a six-speed manual and seven-speed DCT. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel unit produces 114bhp and 250Nm of torque. It comes mated to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission.
