Hyundai has announced the opening of bookings for the facelifted Hyundai Alcazar. The South Korean automaker’s three-row SUV will continue with its six and seven-seat options across six colour and two-engine options. Bookings for the SUV have opened today, set at Rs 25,000. Prices for the same will be announced on 9 September. It will be offered in nine colour options including the new Robust Emerald Matte with 4 distinct variants – Executive, Prestige, Platinum and Signature.
On the outside, the Alcazar retains its bulky frame but gets new low-set headlamps, ‘H’ shaped DRLs and new 18-inch alloy wheels with a fan-like pattern. The biggest change is at the rear where Hyundai has now given the car its signature connected tail lamps with stacked elements. You get a new rear spoiler, high-mounted stop lamp and design for the bash plate. Hyundai has not revealed the cabin but we know that it will get all the updates from the Hyundai Creta. The automaker has confirmed that the Alcazar will get level-2 ADAS in the automatic versions.
The Alcazar will feature a choice of efficient powertrains with the 1.5 Turbo GDi petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual transmission and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The SUV will also come with the 1.5 U2 CRDi diesel engine with a six-speed manual transmission and six-speed automatic transmission.
