The Vista now gets a Manza-like front grille as it sports the chrome grille with the triple barrel headlamps and the front fog lamps get chrome surrounds. A lot of chrome bits have been added to the side of the car, alloys and it now even comes with smoked tail-lamps.
On the inside, the Vista gets the dual black and Sahara beige interior shade, electric ORVMs and steering mounted audio controls. The quality of interiors on the Vista has been improved further and now it gets the soft-feel touch dashboard.
Against the Swift?
Both the petrol and diesel variants of the Swift, are about Rs 20-30thousand more than each model of the Vista and what you get more are the new styling and better styling. The Vista’s plastic quality has improved and the biggest advantage is that the second-most base model comes loaded with a lot of bells and whistles making it a great buy. But the top-of-the-line Vista 90 is a more expensive buy than the Swift ZXi, which might not help Tata to get more sales, since the waiting period on the Swift petrol will be lesser than the diesel. If you are looking for mid-variants, the Vista is better proposition, however, the Swift beats the Vista hands down in the top-of-the-line variant.
Against the Jazz?
The top-of-the-line Jazz is cheaper than the Vista90 and this leaves with nothing more to be added. The Honda Jazz facelift with its new reduced prices becomes a better bargain. However, here is the twist. The top-of-the-line Vista diesel is priced similar to the Jazz X. So, you can opt for the diesel version of the Vista for the same price that you get the Jazz for. So, why buy petrol when you can get a diesel that is powered by a Fiat engine? Go for the Vista diesel and reduce your running costs if you commute is more.
