It’s a hot day and you are sitting in your car in heavy traffic with the airconditioning on and everything is very comfortable. All around you everyone is doing the same and despite the windows being up and the AC switched on, little do you realise that the pollution around you is quietly making its way into the car. With the AC recirculating inside, it makes things worse. What’s more, the pollutants that found their way into the car while it was parked are now also in circulation inside.
But that’s not all of it. Today a car serves you much more than just travel. Be it carrying groceries, transporting pets on the back seat or a moving lounge to catch up with friends, all this leaves behind trails and odour that deteriorates the quality of air in the cabin. In fact, at times you would have also noticed a smell from the plastics used in the dashboard. Sounds scary, doesn’t it? Well don’t worry as we have the right solution for you. Enter the Honeywell Move Pure Car Air Purifier.
It is an aftermarket solution that cleans up the air in the cabin of your car. This allows you to enjoy your time behind the wheel while breathing clean air. It is easy to set up, easy to use and with its largest-in-the-segment high-grade double layer activated carbon HEPA filter, it’s guaranteed to keep you breathing easy!
What do you get in the box?
The packaging is minimalistic and this should give you an idea of the purifier’s plug and play nature. Open up and you will find inside the Honeywell Move Pure car air purifier, power cable, instruction sheet and the Velcro fasteners.
The entire package including the Honeywell Move Pure Car Air purifier is in a shade of black. This will go well with the commonly found beige interiors or even the more sporty black ones offered in some of the more premium vehicles sold in India.
How do I set it up?
Take out the air purifier and flip it over to attach the Velcro strips to the bottom. Once you have done that, choose a spot where you want to keep the purifier in the car and then attach the lower section of the Velcro strip to this spot. The most common spot to place the purifier is on the dashboard as it is in arms reach to both the driver as well as the front passenger. However, you can also place it on the rear parcel tray or under the seats.
Once you have secured the purifier to a place using the Velcro strips, run the power cable from the nearest 12V socket to the underside of the purifier where its power inlet is located. Give a long press on the power button and voilà! The air cleaning process has begun!
How do I use this?
There is not much to do really. With CADR (clean air delivery rate) of 12 cu m/h the purifier will take just 10-12 minutes to do its job. It will effectively remove PM2.5, PM10, pet dander, formaldehyde, benzene, volatile organic compounds, cigarette and vehicular smoke from inside the cabin. There is just one button on the device which doubles for power as well as switching between both the fan speeds.
What happens when the filter reaches the end of its life?
Don’t fret as you would get an indication in the form of the power button light turning red. You can buy a new filter and in just a few easy steps, as described on the instruction card, install the replacement filter in the device.
What does it cost and where can I get one?
The Honeywell Move Pure Car Air Purifier costs Rs 7990 (inclusive of all taxes) and is available for purchase from a multiple e-commerce websites. In fact it is one of the best sellers on Amazon.
