Shortly after making its way to the Indian market, the all-new generation of the Jazz has arrived in the UK. The mid-size hatchback has been introduced with the prices starting from £13,495 (Rs 13.44 lakh) for the entry-level S model, up to £17,425 (Rs 17.42 lakh) for the flagship EX Navi CVT model.
Like the India-spec model, the Jazz retains the mini MPV-like silhouette of the old model yet exhibits contemporary styling, including a striking new face and strong character lines.
Thanks to its new architecture, the Jazz features an improved boot space (354 litres with the rear seats up and 897 litres with the rear seats down) and passenger space that is best in its class.
Underneath the redesigned shell, the Jazz comes with a 1.3-litre i-VTEC petrol engine from Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology series. It delivers 102bhp of power at 6,000rpm. Combined with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a newly developed CVT, emissions are as low as 106g/km of CO2.
The new Jazz will go on sale in the UK in September and if the India-spec car is anything to go buy, Honda UK is bound to find several family-oriented buyers coming towards its showrooms soon after the official launch.
