Honda has just announced the prices for the British built 2015 CR-V, which will be arriving in dealerships in March. The sporty crossover, which competes against vehicles including the Audi Q3, BMW X1 and the Nissan Qashqai, will retail at prices starting from £22,340 (Rs 21.13 lakh) for the entry level 2-litre i-VTEC 2WD model and will top out at £35,620 (Rs 33.69 lakh) for the 1.6-litre i-DTEC 4WD diesel model with a 9-speed automatic gearbox.
The 2015 model sees the arrival of the new 160bhp, 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine which uses a twin stage turbo. This engine is available with a highly advanced 9-speed automatic gearbox for optimum performance and efficiency.
Available in both two and all-wheel drive , the 2015 CR-V features what Honda calls an ‘i-ACC system’ which is a highly technical adaptive cruise control system that constantly scans the road ahead and applies brakes appropriately to avoid probable motorists cutting lanes in front of the vehicle.
For those on a budget, the diesel-powered CR-V is also being offered in a lower trim with a 120bhp version of the 1.6 i-DTEC engine paired with a manual gearbox.
