The D-segment sedan segment has been slowly picking up the pace with manufacturers bringing in their latest wares. Honda however has been missing from the segment since the last five years after it decided to discontinue the once popular Civic. However an exhaustive study has revealed that there is scope in the segment and the Civic should make a viable upgrade for the current City owners.
The 2018 Auto Expo is where Honda will be showcasing its latest Civic. India will be getting the face-lifted Civic with the interiors upgraded as well. The Civic when originally launched was the most radically designed car in its segment and the new car aims to follow. With its almost notchback like design, sharp creases and an aggressive front end, the new Civic is sure to drop a lot of jaws. We expect the Civic to be powered by a 1.8 litre i-VTEC petrol along with a 1.6 litre diesel.
The Civic will go up against the Toyota Corolla, Skoda Octavia and the Hyundai Elantra. With its brilliant styling and futuristic interiors, the Civic should be a strong contender. Keep watching this space for more!
