The launch of a new-gen car calls for a wrap for the sale of the previous-gen or iteration of a model in most cases. This time though, Honda is taking a different approach in the case of the new Amaze launched earlier this month.
Similar to its ideology with the City, both generations of the Honda Amaze will be sold to customers. Unlike its main rival, the Maruti Dzire, which sells two generations of the sub-four-metre SUV, with the previous-gen car only to the fleet segment, Honda will offer the second-gen Amaze to private buyers as well.
While the previous iteration of the Amaze is already available in the CNG avatar, the new offering will get this option soon, although it will be a dealer-level fitment. The prices of the second- and third-gen Amaze start at Rs. 7.63 lakh and Rs. 8 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom), respectively.
