Honda has just revealed its 2014 Geneva Motor Show line-up, which includes the red-hot Civic Type R concept. The brand’s appearance at the coveted motor show will lead the global debut of the much-awaited concept model.
To keep the excitement going, Honda has officially previewed the Type R with a design sketch. The production-spec model will go on sale sometime next year and going by the preview, the car is sure to look more aggressive than ever.
The rear-end looks smashing, with those quad exhaust pipes and the massive rear wing. The aggressively styled flared wheel-arches surrounding the snazzy-looking alloys give the car a serious appeal. The new Civic Type-R will be powered by a brand new 2-litre, 4 cylinder engine producing close to 280bhp. Power will be transmitted to the road via a 6-speed manual gearbox.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Civic Type R as it gets ready for its global debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.
