Honda will launch the 2013 CR-V at a function in Delhi tomorrow. The premium crossover was launched for the right-hand drive UK market in November and features mostly cosmetic changes both inside and outside.
The front of the SUV has now got a revised grille and new design for the headlights. It is now shorter and lower than the 2012 model but due to an improved design, there is more space inside. Boot-space has also gone up by a substantial 147 litres and the underbody has been re-designed to become more aerodynamic as well as reduce cabin noise. Most of the interiors are expected to be same as the 2012 CR-V save for a few changes to the upholstery.
The 2013 CR-V will be offered with same set of mills as the previous model; a 2.0-litre petrol engine which produces 140bhp and 190Nm of torque and a 2.4-litre mill which produces 158bhp and 218Nm of torque. The UK spec CR-V is also offered with a 2.2 litre diesel mill but this will not be introduced in the Indian market.
Both the petrol mills will be mated to a six-speed manual or a five speed-automatic gearbox. Some recent spy-shots of a CR-V at a New Delhi dealership also show that Honda may introduce a four-wheel drive version.
