Honda has managed to sell over 9,000 units of the Jazz since its launch in July. The premium hatchback was the highest contributor to Honda’s sales in July helping the Japanese manufacturer attain 18 per cent growth, compared to the same month last year.
The company had dispatched 2,336 units to dealers in June, ahead of the July 8 launch and then sold another 6,766 units in July. Honda sold a total of 18,606 units last month with the Jazz contributing almost 45 per cent of the total sales.
Commenting on the performance, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “We are extremely happy with the response received for the All New Jazz. The Jazz has been able to expand the premium hatchback segment and its volumes will significantly contribute to the growth we are expecting this year.”
The Honda Jazz is available with both the petrol and diesel engine options in total of five trim levels. The 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol can be availed in five manual and two CVT automatic trim levels, the 1.5-litre diesel on the other hand is manual only and is available in similar five variants.
