Honda’s fourth-generation City sedan has crossed 2.5 lakh sales in India. This makes the fourth-generation the highest-selling City so far in the Indian market.
The current-generation City was launched in 2014 and since then, this full size sedan has helped the Japanese manufacturer play a very important role in the C-segment. In fact, the City got a facelift earlier this year and the market response has been quite good for the 2017 model.
According to Honda, 61 per cent of the City sedans sold in India are petrol, whereas the diesel version contributes to 39 per cent of its overall sales. In terms of transmission options, 70 per cent of the City buyers opted for manual gearbox, whereas 30 per cent went for CVT.
