Honda Cars India Limited has announced their overall sales of 14,997 units for February 2017 which includes 748 export units. The sales are up by 9.4 per cent as compared to the sales in February 2016 but are lower than the 15,592 units sold in January 2017.
Honda’s bestseller, the City sedan, has been doing well, selling 6,318 units in February, almost equal to the number of units it sold in January 2017. Similarly, the Amaze sales at 3,924 units have almost matched its January numbers.
Sales of the two hatches, the Jazz and the Brio have taken a hit in February and have managed to sell 2,758 and 521 units respectively as against the 3,124 and 627 units of the previous month. The BR-V has also lost its steam and is ringing in close to 1,500 units a month on an average as against its peak numbers of more than 3,000 units.
With the new Honda City launched this month, the sales numbers might see a spike for the month of March. There is also news of the new Honda Civic or the Honda CR-V diesel, but we have no official word for either of the cars as yet.
