- 17,020 units sold in August 2018, 17,365 units sold in August 2017
- 19,970 units sold in July 2018
- 601 units exported in August 2018
The floods that ravaged Kerala and affected parts of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu as well have damped Honda’s sales in August 2018. The carmaker sold 17,020 units in August as compared to the 19,970 units it sold in July 2018. Despite the dip in sales, the carmaker is confident about recovering the numbers with a slew of attractive offers for customers to be announced during the upcoming festive season.
While the month on month numbers have dipped, the cumulative numbers from April to August have grown by over 9 per cent as compared to 2017. Of the 79,599 cars sold in the past five months, a big chunk has been contributed by the successful run of the all-new Honda Amaze. With the overall trend staying on the growth path, Honda will launch the CR-V soon while the much awaited Civic is expected later this year.
Like always, the City and the WR-V have been performing consistently and the facelifted Jazz is also expected to get
more numbers in the festive season.
