Honda has recalls 223,578 vehicles in India to replace airbag inflators as part of its global recall campaign. The vehicles included in the recall are previous generations of the CR-V, City, Civic and the Jazz. The replacement would be carried out free of cost at HCIL dealerships across India in a phased manner, starting from October 12, and the company will communicate with customers directly.
The CR-V included in the recall was manufactured between 2004 and 2011 while the Civic in question was manufactured between 2003 and 2012. The City is the model manufactured between 2007-2012 while the Jazz is the model manufactured between 2009 and 2011.
Owners can also check whether their car is covered under this recall campaign by submitting their 17 character alpha-numeric Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the special microsite which has been created on the company’s website.
