Honda Cars India has inaugurated a new showroom in Secunderabad, marking it to be their 200th dealership in India. The company plans to expand their network in our country by opening new dealerships in many other cities.
Named as Metro Honda, the new facility is located at Bowenpally, RR District, Secunderabad and comprises of both - a showroom and a workshop. With 58,000 sq.ft.at their disposal, the dealership is designed to facilitate prospective and existing Honda owners. The 3-S facility includes a workshop that houses 25 bays for work related to body and paint, wheel alignment, wheel balancing and other such services. Apart from this there is also a lounge area and kids play zone. Honda car users can also get their cars exchanged at Auto Terrace, which is the company's one-stop facility for exchange and pre-owned car purchases.
Hironori Kanayama, President and CEO, Honda Cars India, said, “We are delighted to reach the milestone of 200 dealers in India. Network expansion is a critical part of our larger business goal of achieving sales of 3,00,000 units per annum by March 2017. As we expand our business in the Indian market, we have to move closer to our customers to be able to provide them with best customer services at nationwide level.”
Honda is currently on an expansion drive and plans to extend their services to more and more cities in India. They aim to open 230 dealerships in 150 cities in India by March 2015 and thus expand their dealership network by 35 per cent. They also aim to add another 100 dealerships by March 2016. The Japanese manufacturer's Mobilio and new City have seen a great demand in the Indian market and to cater to the demand, the company will extend their services to new Tier III markets while focusing on the existing ones.
