Honda has commenced on-ground activities to promote the soon to be launched MPV, the Mobilio. The seven-seater is on display at a mall in Ghaziabad and should visit many other malls and shopping centres in the next few weeks. The Japanese carmaker has also update the website that now offers an interactive interior 360 view of the car.
The Mobilio has reached the production line and is expected to be launched by the end of next month. The activities at the mall will help Honda reach prospective customers and build interest in the product. Once launched, the Mobilio will take on mainly the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga with sub- Rs10 lakh price tag.
The Mobilio will be the third Honda car to get a diesel engine in India, after the Amaze and the fourth generation City. The Mobilio will use the same1.5-litre i-DTEC engine with an output of 100bhp and 200Nm of torque. The 1.5-litre i-VTEC from the City is tuned to produce 119bhp and 145Nm, it will be interesting to see if the top-end petrol variants also get CVT transmission.
