Honda India has introduced two new variants for the Mobilio, a month after the MPV’s official launch in the Indian market. Called V(O) and RS (O), both these new variants offer segment-first features such as GPS navigation and a rear-view camera.
The newly introduced V (O) variant will be positioned on top of the existing E, S and V variants in both petrol and diesel-powered models. The sporty RS variant, which is only available with the diesel engine, now has an additional RS (O) variant. Honda India has confirmed that both these new variants will be available from mid-September.
Inside the cabin, the GPS navigation system features a 15.7 cm touch screen display loaded with maps, satellite-based voice guided navigation, and complete in-car entertainment features including Bluetooth, USB and iPod connectivity. The rear-view camera further enhances the appeal of the MPV. Besides these new features, the two new variants also get wooden inserts on the dashboard and door armrests.
With the addition of V(O) and RS (O) variants, the Mobilio range has been expanded and the MPV is now offered in a total of 10 variants.
Launched last month, the Mobilio is Honda’s entry in the mid-size MPV segment. The vehicle is available with two engine options – a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine delivering 119bhp of power and a 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine producing 100bhp of power. The Mobilio currently competes with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Chevrolet Enjoy.
The prices (ex-showroom, New Delhi) of the newly introduced variants of the Mobilio are as follows -
