We drove the Honda Mobilio a few weeks ago and during the first drive Honda presented the Mobilio in two marginally different trim levels. The difference was the faux wood trim inside and the AVN (audio/visual/navigation) package on the top-end model.
It seems like Honda has decided to axe the AVN package from the top-end variant and that also includes the faux wood trim inside. The AVN package had features like navigation, reverse camera screen along with a conventional audio and video system.
Now, the catch is, these features may be offered as an optional extra to customers who wish to opt for it. However, this package might be offered as standard on the Mobilio RS trim that will be launched in three months (festive season) after the standard Mobilio.
It seems like a little abrupt as the dashboard of the Mobilio won’t have any distinguishing feature over the Brio and the Amaze. Is this a good move by Honda? We don't think so.
