Honda Siel India, registered a growth of 32% over the previous month by selling 7,368 units in March 2009 as against 5,579 units sold in February 2009. The growth in sales is fuelled by Honda City.
The cumulative sales of the company during the Financial Year period April’ 08– Mar’ 09 was 52,420 units as against 62,802 units sold in Apr’07 – Mar ’08. In response to the negative growth in the Indian automobile industry and in the interest of maintaining lean operations, Honda Siel Cars India had reduced production at its Greater Noida plant since December 08.Â
6040 units of the City, 720 units of the Civic, 326 units of the Accord and 282 units of the CR-V were sold this March.
