-Premium compact SUV
-Will find a place above the Honda City
The Honda HR-V was spotted testing in India. It’s a premium compact SUV that, in hierarchical terms, is positioned above the Honda City and will be offered with both diesel and petrol engines options.
The thin layer of camouflage does little to hide the curvy lines of the HR-V and you can see most of the design highlights of the car. This car appears to sport the wheels of the mid-spec variant and a single exhaust offset to the right side.
The HR-V is offered with a 1.5-litre petrol and with a 1.6-litre diesel in the UK market and this is likely continue in India when the car is brought here sometime next year. Honda already offers both engines in India across various cars.
The HR-V will go up against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster and the upcoming Kia SP2i SUV in the D-segment of the Indian market.
