While our eyes were set on happenings at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, Honda has debuted all-new concept at in Montreal. This is the Honda Gear Concept Study Model, which the company says is inspired from the fixed-gear bicycles.
"Subcompact cars are usually either utilitarian, but uninspiring or they're fun, zippy cars that are impractical and too expensive for the Gen-Y buyer," said Dave Marek, Design Director at Honda R&D Americas, Inc. "GEAR Concept tears down those walls – it's practical but fun, customizable, connected and affordable. Everything that young, discerning urban buyers would want in a car."
We don’t know what Honda means when it says connected or affordable, as they have not provided any details of the concept. But it is certainly catchy – it looks like miniature version of the European Civic hatchback with even more detailing. Let us hope that we get to see few of these design cues on the next generation Honda models.
