Honda has finally showcased the latest iteration of the CR-V powered by a diesel engine at the 2018 Auto Expo. While the US market already gets this fully redesigned and re-engineered SUV, the best-selling and immensely popular SUV in America has now been unveiled for the Indian market. These pictures take you through the sophisticated new styling, premium-quality interior and new features of the SUV.

This is the fifth-generation of the CR-V that is based on an all-new platform architecture. Unlike the previous version, this one gets sharper front-end design elements.

The headlights are aggressively styled and surrounded by wing-shaped LED DRLs. The long hood ends in wide and muscular fenders that give it an aggressive look.

Thanks to the longer wheelbase, a short rear overhang and chiseled dual exhaust outlets, the CR-V gets an athletic stance that boosts its on-road presence.

The CR-V's USP is the Hands Free Access Power Tailgate, enabling opening and closing the tailgate by using a foot-activated motion sensor. It’s situated under the rear bumper and adds to the convenience.

The cabin is also packed with all the premium and utilitarian features that can be expected in an SUV. The spacious interior features the use of good quality materials throughout, raising the bar for interior refinement.

Another highlight is the one-touch power moon roof with tilt feature. This one fully opens or closes with the single touch of a switch.

There's a huge touchscreen display interface that supports Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ platforms. A smartphone can be easily paired giving users seamless integration of various functions.

This three-row, seven-seater CR-V gets a one-motion dive-down 60:40 split second row and a 50:50 split third row design. This provides comfort to rear passengers and adds to the cargo carrying versatility.

For the first time ever, the CR-V AWD is being offered with a turbocharged 1.5-litre DOHC inline-4 engine. This should add to the desirability of the buyers who were waiting for a diesel Honda SUV.
