We had already mentioned about Honda launching three new cars in the financial year 2018-19. Out of which, the new Honda Amaze is already doing well with numbers, and we have already driven the new CR-V which is due in October. And finally, following the CR-V will be the all-new Civic which has just received a facelift.
Changes on the outside includes a standard piano black winged grille and restyled halogen and LED headlight units. To make it sportier, the front lower bumper gets a full-width splitter. Other changes include new design and larger 18-inch alloy wheels.
On the insides, Honda has updated the infotainment system and gets more safety features. The international variants get Honda Sensing safety suite standard which includes automatic emergency braking, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control.
Powering the Indian car will be a 1.8-litre petrol engine along with a 1.6-litre diesel which will also be doing duty in the CR-V. The Civic is expected to be launched in the first half of 2019 and will go up against the likes of the Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and the Skoda Octavia.
