The Japanese car manufacturer, Honda, has witnessed a 25 per cent growth in sales at 17,345 units sold in August 2017 as against 13,941 units sold in the same month last year. Moreover, the company is maintaining a strong sales momentum this fiscal year and has sold 73,012 units between April-August 2017, as against 59,821 units sold in the same period last year, thereby reporting a growth of over 22 per cent.
The Honda City continues to be a bestseller for Honda once again in August this year with 5,538 units sold. The second and the third position in terms of sales are held by the WR-V and the Jazz at 5,200 unit and 2,747 unit sales respectively in August 2017. In the same month, the company sold 1,928 units of the Amaze and 1,247 units of the BR-V. Honda’s Brio, CR-V and Accord Hybrid have however been witnessing low sales at 640 units, 55 units and 10 units respectively. Cumulatively, Honda India reportedly sold 17,365 units in the country and exported 575 units in August 2017.

The festive purchases have already begun in some parts of the country and we expect the festival season to further boost our sales numbers in the next two months.
