Honda Cars India has registered an overall growth of 3.5 per cent in the first half of the financial year 2018-19. April to September sales figures of 94,419 units in 2018 have grown from 91,269 units in the year 2017. In terms of monthly sales, the sales are down from over 17,000 units in August to 14,820 units last month.
Compared to September 2017, the growth in sales is marginal as Honda managed to sell about 14,250 units last year. The first half of FY 2018-19 has been a dream run for Honda with the Amaze becoming the first ever car from the stable to get to 10,000 units a month, contributing to a large chunk of sales.Â
The Honda City and the WR-V have been steady performers for the Japanese brand while the Jazz, in spite of the facelift, has not been able to set the sales registers running. The all-new Honda CR-V will be launching this month in October
