The seven-seater SUV from Honda, the BR-V has been revealed with a fresh set of cosmetic and feature upgrades at the ongoing 2019 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS). This is the first major update for the vehicle since it was first unveiled in 2015. As compared to its predecessor, the new BR-V gets sportier updates. And although there are no immediate plans for India, if introduced, the car is likely to receive similar updates for the domestic market.
Based on what can be seen, the BR-V facelift gets a redesigned front bumper with fog light housings and faux skid plate. The bumper gets chrome inserts and faux brushed aluminum in the chin. The updated model now gets new daytime running lamps and new headlight inserts. The rear section also gets a redesigned bumper. The WR-V facelift rides on 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels.
As for the interior, the updated BR-V gets a dark grey interior with red stitching on the seats and the centre console. Mechanically, the Indonesia-spec Honda BR-V gets a 1.5-litre petrol engine. At the time of its debut in India, the new BR-V facelift will continue to be powered by the existing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine option, however, the updated model will get a BSVI compliant engine.
