Honda has revealed the all-new Breeze SUV in China. The mid-size SUV will be sold alongside the Honda CR-V in the Chinese market. It will be available in two trims - Standard and Black Edition. The latter gets wing mirrors, black-painted alloy wheels and other bits.
The Honda Breeze is based on the CR-V, and although it has identical width and height as the latter, the Breeze is slightly longer than the CR-V. The design is an amalgamation of the CR-V's rear and side profile, while the fascia is reminiscent to the Civic, Amaze and global-spec Accord. The cabin layout, too, is similar to the Honda CR-V. That said, it comes furnished with additional convenience features.
Honda will manufacture the Breeze SUV at its local partner's, Guangzhou Motors, facility in China. The China-spec Honda Breeze will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol motor that develops a maximum power of 193bhp. It will work in conjunction with an automatic transmission.
The Honda Breeze will initially be specific to the Chinese market, and is unlikely to make its way to the Indian market. For the domestic market though, Honda will be launching the HR-V in the months to come.
