Honda will launch the Amaze Sedan for the Nepali market in June. The compact sedan was launched for the Indian market in April and has already become a good seller for the Japanese automaker by selling just over 4552 units in less than a month. Nepal will get only the petrol engined version and in three variants.
The Honda Amaze petrol is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC mill producing 88PS and 109Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powers the Honda Brio and the Jazz. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox or a five-speed automatic. However, the latter is unlikely to be offered at the time of launch due to its higher cost.
The car will be brought into Nepal as a CBU and will have the same features both inside and outside as the Indian version. The base variant is expected to be priced at 2.6 million Nepali Rupees (Rs 16.33 lakh).
