Honda Cars India has met with quite a bit of success with their compact sedan, the Amaze. The car recently crossed the one lakh sales milestone and the car still enjoys a good demand in our country. This demand is expected to go up with the upcoming festive season and the manufacturer plans to cater to these demands by maximising its production.
The Honda Amaze was initially only manufactured at the company's facility in Greater Noida. Since February this year, the carmaker started producing the Amaze at their Tapukara plant in Rajasthan to cater to the high demand. Honda will also boost the car's production this month to make sure to deliver the cars to consumers on time.
Honda entered the diesel car segment with the Amaze and it became the fastest vehicle to cross the one lakh sales milestone in HCIL history. The Amaze is available in two engine options- a 1.5-litre diesel and a 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Jnaneswar Sen, senior vice-president, sales and marketing, Honda Cars India, said, "With the onset of festival season in West and South India, we have tried to maximise the production of Honda Amaze during August to be able to speed up the deliveries."
In April this year, Honda launched an anniversary edition of the Amaze to celebrate the car’s first birthday. The car continues to have a strong sales momentum in the market and has a lot of sales potential with the company's expanding dealership network.
