Honda Amaze BS6
The Honda Amaze is one of the most popular family sedans in the country, with over 3.9 lakh owners since the time it was launched in the country back in 2013. Along with a bold design, sophisticated & spacious interiors, outstanding driving performance, advanced features, and safety technologies, the Honda Amaze is now more eco-friendly.
The largest selling Honda car is now available with BS6 engines. The 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine paired to either a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT and1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine paired to either a five-speed manual transmission or an industry-first CVT.
The Honda Amaze is the first car in the company’s lineup to have received the new emission-compliant diesel engine. The diesel engine continues to offer the best balance between performance and efficiency in the segment as before, but is cleaner.
The company has applied its advanced exhaust gas after-treatment system with NSC (NOx Storage Catalyst) and DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) to meet the challenging particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emission targets. Honda's in-house developed Silver Thin Coated DPF (STC-DPF) reduces PM combustion time by 40 percent compared to conventional DPFs used by the competition.
In spite of the emission compliant modifications, the sedan remains very competitively priced in the segment. Increasing the Amaze’s appeal is the company’s promise to deliver peace of mind through hassle-free, low-cost maintenance to customers. This is achieved not only thanks to high-quality localised parts, but also longer service intervals as compared to the competition along with competitive service costs.
The Honda Amaze retains features which made it so popular in the first place. The angular design, Honda-signature ‘Solid Wing Face’ grille and dynamic alloy wheels helps it make a bigger impression amongst the segment. Luxury features such as the headlamp integrated signature LED position lamps, touch-sensor based keyless entry-and-go system, aesthetically pleasing dashboard design and easy-to-reach controls on the steering wheel are from a class above.
The Honda Amaze’s large cabin is complemented by the use of beige upholstery on the seats and the roof, which add to the airy feeling. Both the front and rear seats are contoured for maximum space and comfort; the rear seat passengers can also enjoy a relaxed seat back angle, a comfortable cushioned center armrest and enough space under the front seats to stretch their legs even more. With a luggage space of 420-litres, everyone can travel with their belongings in absolute comfort.
Advanced technology offered on the Honda Amaze includes the seven-inch Digipad 2.0 touchscreen display with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Weblink smartphone connectivity, voice commands, in-built navigation and video playback. Automatic climate control keeps occupants comfortable no matter what the weather outside.
The Honda Amaze is offered with a lot of standard safety equipment including dual front airbags, ABS+EBD, ISOFIX child seat mount points and rear parking sensors. These complement the Amaze’s ACE (Advanced Compatibility Engineering) crash structure which disperses the forces encountered in a crash away from the passenger compartment.
