Honda has met with quite a bit of success with its newly launched compact sedan, the Amaze. With things looking good for them, the carmaker is claiming that they will be reaching the 50,000 units mark soon, and in return for the high sales figures, the company will be gifting its customers a little something.
Since its launch in April this year, Amaze will have become a part of 50,000 Indian families. In fact, a huge demand for the car has led to increased waiting periods as there is limited production at its manufacturing plant. However, in order to clear the backlog of orders and eventually reduce the waiting time for prospective buyers, Honda has started a third shift at its plant in Greater Noida.
Honda, on completing this milestone, is planning to gift a box of chocolates to all the owners of the Amaze along with a letter of thanks. The carmaker has also started a contest for Amaze car owners in which the participants will be able to win a foreign trip as well. All those who will own the Amaze by the end of this year are eligible for this contest.
Honda seems to be on a combative strategy in terms of the various products for the Indian automobile market. The Honda Amaze with its aggressive pricing has been giving tough competition to the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire and now only a few days ago it unveiled the 2014 City, to be launched in January 2014. The Mobilio, a car from its MPV segment, is also expected to be launched early next year.
