The fastest two-seater sports car, Hennessey Venom GT, will enter production soon. The new world record for the fastest speed of 270.49mph (435.31 km/h) was set by this car last month at NASA’s Kennedy Space Centre.
The ‘World’s fastest Edition’ Venom GT adorns the colours of the American flag. The red and blue stripes on the white car run from the front right up to the rear spoiler. The company has incorporated these colours in the car to commemorate the feat performed by the supercar.
The American supercar is powered by a new 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a mind-boggling 1,244bhp of power and 1,565Nm of torque. The Venom GT can reach the 300kmph mark from standstill in just 13.63 seconds. The company has incorporated a lot of aluminium and carbon fibre in the construction of the car to make it as light as possible.
The Venom GT entered the book of Guinness World Records recently when it went past the staggering 270mph mark in the land where space shuttles land. The Hennessey Venom GT will soon enter production and only three units of this car will be made. The company has already sold the limited units for $1.25 million U.S (Rs 7.5 crore) each. An absolute collector’s item, too bad they are already spoken for.
