Hennessey, the American hypercar maker, has thrown down the gauntlet for the world's fastest car crown. The Venom 5, is an all-new supercar that has just been teased with a ‘300’ speed limit road sign in the background. This points to a top speed of 300mph which inches towards 500kmph.
Hennessey has released a teaser video of the road rocket giving us a glimpse of what has gone into building probably the first ever road car to break the 500kmph barrier. Built with state-of-the-art aerodynamics and technology, the Venom 5 will challenge the exclusive Bugatti Chiron, the Veyron's successor.
Powered by a V8 petrol engine boosted by massive turbochargers, the Hennessey Venom 5 will be unveiled on 1 November at SEMA, America's home for tuners, aftermarket part manufacturers and superfast cars. And just like you, we too are awaiting more details of this engineering marvel. Stay tuned.
