Pictures of the light clusters (front and back) of the soon-to-be-launched 2013 Skoda Octavia (Laura in India) have been leaked. The images show us that there are three trims levels for the headlights and two trim levels for the tail lamps.
The base model has been fitted with halogens up front and normal lights at the back. The top-end variant on the other hand gets bi-Xenon with day-time LED running lights in front and full LED lights for the tail lamp cluster. However, the good news is that Skoda seems to have retained its signature ‘C’ shaped tail lights in both trims.
The 2013 Skoda Octavia will make its global debut in Prague, Czech Republic in the middle of this month. While the design for the 2013 Octavia has been influenced by the Vision D concept, its features and underpinnings are based on the Volkswagen’s MQB platform, which will is also support most future models of VW group. The new Octavia will be powered by the same set of mills that are present in new seventh-generation Golf.
Skoda will bring this car to India after its global launch in Geneva next year. They are likely to revive the Octavia brand name as it sold better than the Laura badge in the sub-continent.
