The Gulf Foster A Child Car Drive, the annual Gulf Oil Corporation-sponsored event will be flagged off at
9:00am on Sunday, January 30, 2011 from Our Lady Home, Parel, Mumbai. The winner of the drive will not be determined by who drives the fastest but it will be a combination of skilled driving and navigating that will help the contestants cross the finish line.
Each vehicle will consist of a family with an orphaned, lesser-privileged child. They will have to find their way to the finish line with the help of a tulip chart that will be provided at the start. The team will have to decide on their navigator, who has to decipher the tulip route chart. The participants will be quizzed and timed at
the various controls along the route.
There will be special prizes for all-ladies teams and also for the best dressed team and best decorated car. The approximately 125-km drive will end at Dukes Retreat & Key Resorts, Khandala.The last date for entries is January 27th ,Entries which will be accepted on first come basis, should be sent to Sportscraft at Chitrakut 3rd floor Siri Road Chowpatty Bandstand, Mumbai 400 006.
