After quite a while motor sport fans of Mumbai get a chance to show off their skills when Gulf Oil Corporation Ltd., in association with Sportscraft, stages its annual 'Gulf Foster A Child Rally' on Sunday January 31st in the city.
After the rousing success the event met with last six year, the upcoming drive, which will provide underprivileged, children an opportunity to enjoy a drive through the streets of the city, will be a ideal test of the basics in driving.
The event is a combination of quiz and navigational drive where the driver and his crew have to decipher a tulip chart that will be provided at the start of the drive and will have to answer a question at various pit-stops.
If speed is on your mind, then forget about entering, because this form of motorsport needs patience, the finer skills in concentration and the ability to follow a maze of directions plotted in the course charted out.
All Indian-made vehicles are eligible. Each will have an orphan child or two as part of the crew. A maximum of 50 entries on first-come basis will be accepted.
Entries open on Wednesday 6th January 2010 and close on Wednesday 27th January 2010 at 13:00 hrs.
Four CarWale cars are participating in the event.
