Excise has been reduced by 4% by the government, which is good news, considering the general slowdown in the economy over the last few months. This is another attempt by the government to accelerate the growth of manufactured goods, along with the various price cuts and other measures undertaken by the manufacturers themselves.
This opportunity can be used by manufacturers to their advantage by reducing their prices, in an aim to better sales figures – which so far have seen a downhill trend. The excise cut will give new car buyers plenty of reason to smile.
