General Motors India has announced that they will hike the price of all Chevrolet vehicles in the range of one to three per cent(depending on the model)from January 2013. The American automaker has attributed the hike to inflation and rising input costs.
This is the second time GM is raising its prices. The last hike, in the range of one to two per cent, had been initiated in October and this resulted in the prices of all Chevrolet vehicles being raised by up to Rs 12,000.
The Detroit-based automaker joins a host of other manufacturers like Maruti Suzuki, Toyota and Audi in raising prices due to depreciating value of the Rupee and increase in the costs of inputs.
