General Motors India has registered a sales growth of 6% percent in October 2008, compared to the corresponding period last year. It sold 6465 units in October 2008 as against 6139 units during the same period last year.
General Motors India's October 2008 sales comprise of 4390 units of the Chevrolet Spark, 855 units of the Chevrolet Tavera, 934 units of the Chevrolet Aveo, 153 units of the Chevrolet Optra and 133 units of the Chevrolet Captiva.
GM India's network of 145 sales points and 148 service outlets will be expanded to 188 sales points and 190 service outlets by the end of this year.
